Access	From the village of Athanassios Diakos (Ano Mousounitsa):13 km of moderately good dirt road and then a 20-minute walk. Τhe European Rambles Trails E4 passed through the village of Athanassios Diakos and goes quite close to the refuge (3 ½ hour walk). Apart from E4 path, the refuge is accessible by road all the way up.
Remarks	During the winter it operates on weekends under a guard and offers food.
State	Perfect, re-organised lately.

Note	During the summer months the road to the mines go as far as Lakka Karvouni, 15 minutes from the refuge. The region is not the most right. There should be built a big refuge in Vathia Lakka
