My paths The Mountain Brigade of Aiani

   In the Hteni Castle

February 4, 2001: Thanassis Kallianiotis at the ruined wall of the acropolis, on the west of the "Castle" hill, in Hteni village. In the back Kaimaktsalan mount in snow; the black clouds are produced by the chimneys of the Greek Electric Company

The dried spring Papazissi and, exactly behind, in the back, the Hteni Castle (the second height). On the left, Golda. In 1922, officers thought of establishing a settlement for refugees in Papazissis. Kostas Tsitselikis, thinker and lawer, wished that in this same site the Kozani Agricultural School would be built.

The view from the Castle is magnificent. In front, Hteni. In the back, the artificial lake of Polyphyton, on the left Pieria mounts, on the right Mavri Rachi and far behind Olympus
