 Base Camp was at 4.500 m, where the glacier ended. The glacier (up) is made of huge amounts of snow which transfroms in ice -10 m. of snow make one meter of ice, itself transforming to 10 cm. of glacier. |
 During the hot periods (April-May and September-October) ice starts to melt and crevaces are formed in the glacier body; these crevaces are deadly traps. |
